1993 was a complicated year for the Jordan team, mainly due to the unreliability of the Hart engine. It wasn’t until the penultimate Grand Prix of the season that they scored their first and only points of the season, with the future Ferrari drivers Rubens Barrichello and Eddie Irvine finishing respectively 5th and 6th. Eddie Irvine scored his first F1 World Championship points at his very first F1 Grand Prix in Japan.
