Tire identification code + “for racing purpose only” label

The Renault RS01 was the first single-seater from Renault in Formula 1 and the first with a turbocharged engine. After a difficult set-up that earned him the nickname “yellow teapot” from the British due to the smoke escaping during the numerous engine failures, Jean-Pierre Jabouille scored the team’s first points in the penultimate Grand Prix of the 1978 season in the USA East, claimed a first pole position at the 1979 South African Grand Prix and won the French Grand Prix the same year (this victory at the wheel of the RS10).
