Richard Attwood finished the race in second place behind the winner Graham Hill and set the fastest lap of the race. These were his first and only podium finishes and best race laps in F1.

Richard James David “Dickie” Attwood (born April 4, 1940 in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire) is a British racing driver from England. During his career, he raced for the BRM, Lotus and Cooper Formula 1 teams. He took part in 16 World Championship Grands Prix, achieved one podium finish and scored a total of 11 championship points. He was also a successful sports car racer and won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970, driving a Porsche 917, the first of Porsche’s 19 -record- victories at Le Mans.
